In a touching display of familial affection, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan has recently bestowed his cherished Juhu bungalow, Prateeksha, worth Rs 50 crore, to his daughter, Shweta Nanda. The property, spanning two plots measuring 890.47 sq m and 674 sq m, holds immense sentimental value for the Bachchan family, symbolizing their shared history.

The generous gift was formalized through a deed executed on November 8, underlining the actor's unwavering commitment to family ties. The transfer, marked by a stamp duty of Rs 50.65 lakh, completed this heartfelt transaction.

Prateeksha holds a special place in the Bachchan family's heart as it was Amitabh's first Juhu bungalow, where he lived with his parents, the renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji. The name, given by his father, is significant, resonating in the elder Bachchan's poem, emphasizing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

This gesture adds to Amitabh Bachchan's real estate ventures, following his earlier investment in four units on the 21st floor of a commercial complex in Andheri, Mumbai. Each unit, priced at Rs 7.18 crore, aligns with the trend among Bollywood stars investing in commercial properties for favorable annual rental yields.

In a sentimental move in 2022, Amitabh also sold the South Delhi property named 'Sopaan,' where his parents once lived, for Rs 23 crore. The property found a new owner in Avni Bader, CEO of Nezone group of companies and a long-time acquaintance of the Bachchan family.

Beyond real estate, Amitabh Bachchan continues strategic investments, such as acquiring a 5,184 sq ft property in Mumbai's Atlantis project in December 2020. Leveraging the Maharashtra government's stamp duty waiver, he registered the property in April 2021.

Amitabh Bachchan's cinematic legacy spans over four decades, marked by iconic roles in classics like Sholay, Deewar, and Zanjeer. His enduring impact on Indian cinema and his ability to reinvent himself solidify his status as a true Bollywood legend.

Shweta Bachchan Nanda, the recipient of this generous gift, is a versatile individual excelling in various fields. An accomplished author, columnist, former model, and entrepreneur, Shweta authored the bestselling novel 'Paradise Towers.' Beyond her professional achievements, she remains deeply rooted in family life, exemplifying a harmonious blend of creativity, business acumen, and strong family ties. Shweta is married to businessman Nikhil Nanda, and together, they have two children, Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda.
